The list of best 50 companies was determined through an extensive loan officer survey where over 200 mortgage companies and banks participated, and more than 10,000 loan officers were surveyed. The survey asked licensed MLOs (Mortgage Loan Originators) currently employed by the companies to rate their company on various factors, including culture, loan processing, underwriting, compensation, management, marketing, and technology. Companies that received the highest combination of MLO votes and average ratings earned a spot on the list.
